OQO on Linux

Booting

To correctly boot our OQO under Linux, do the following:

• Unplug USB Keyboard (otherwise it will not work later).
• Open lid (to access the keyboard).
• Power on.
• In bootloader, select "Linux".
• In second bootloader, select "Linux 2.6.11".
• Wait until GUI is loaded.
• Plug in keyboard, if you like.
• Sometimes, user "kato" is automatically logged in. If not, log in as user "kato", password "kato".

After this, the OQO is functional under Linux.

General functions

• Close and open lid: Display switches between external (HMD, 640x480) and internal (LCD, 800x480). Warning: Do not do this on the text console. It will crash the system.
• Toggle windows to fullscreen: Press CTRL + L.

Demos

• WUI Demo: Demonstrates the WUI with the Winspect glove.
• KATO Demo: Connects to a Maintenance Server, running on IP 192.168.43.3.
